Why Siberian Federal University?
The SibFU campus is the only multifunctional innovative platform in Siberia today, which allows you to professionally conduct any large-scale events: forums, congresses, conferences, specialized exhibitions, business meetings, social events. The accumulated experience and the existing infrastructure make it a convenient platform for organizing and holding events of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and for implementing priority national projects. The infrastructure of the university allows Krasnoyarsk to become one of the basic sites for holding regular major federal events: forums, summits.
All Siberian Federal University degree programmes are state accredited, many of them have international accreditation. SibFU maintains “Double degree” programmes with European, Asian and American universities. According to various educational and cultural exchange programmes, hundreds of international students study at SibFU and hundreds of SibFU students study abroad.
Our students have an opportunity to attend lectures of the world-level specialists. Annually more than 200 visiting professors – leading scientists from the UK, Germany, Spain and the USA — deliver their lectures at SibFU. The University is a winner of the Russian Government grants supporting research projects under the guidance of top-level scholars from Russia and all over the world.
Since the establishment of the university, the laboratory and equipment capabilities have been increased for more than 5 times, the number of scientific publications in international journals has increased to 4 times; for 6 times — the number of grants received.
Why Krasnoyarsk?
Krasnoyarsk is the administrative capital of Krasnoyarsk Krai – second largest region of Russia. It is a big industrial and educational centre with a population of more than 1 million people, and also an important junction of the Trans-Siberian Railway.
The city is located on the banks of the great Yenisey River in the valley formed by the Eastern Sayan Mountains. The Krasnoyarsk Stolby (“Pillars”) State Nature Reserve has become the city’s landmark.
Krasnoyarsk land gave birth to many famous people, among them are an artist Vasily Surikov, opera singer Dmitri Hvorostovsky, biathlete Evgeny Ustyugov, skeletonist Alexander Tretyakov and an ice-hockey player Alexander Semin.
Krasnoyarsk is a host-city of XXIX World Winter Universiade 2019.
